Isata Kanneh-Mason was due to make her debut with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra last Saturday night at London’s Royal Albert Hall but, like so many events around the globe, the concert was called off because of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

However, being at home in Nottingham in lockdown with her family, Isata decided to live-stream the first movement of the concerto she was supposed to perform – Beethoven’s third – with a chamber group comprised of her siblings.

The reaction online was incredible and within just two days of the video going live it had amassed over 300,000 views.  Enjoy the performance above!
